Today's Activities: Temple of Heaven, Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car), Cloisonne Factory

Detailed Itinerary:

Temple of Heaven: Situated in the southern part of the city, the temple of heaven covers the total area of 2,700,000 square meters. The temple was built in 1420A.D. It is the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would offer sacrifice to heaven and pray for good harvests. The main buildings of the temple including the Circular Mound Altar, Imperial Vault of Heaven and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest.The surrounding gardens are full of interesting activities, particularly weekend mornings.

Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car): This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a about 2.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing. A cable car takes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant: Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant is near Great Wall of Mutianyu section. This garden style restaurant serves farmhouse dishes, specializing in rainbow trout, sturgeon and salmon. Its use of natural ingredients and fabulous taste will leave you with great memories.

Cloisonne Factory: Cloisonne is an intricate and detailed process, dating back over 700 years, to produce fine enamel on a copper base. You can watch the workers at all stages of the process to see how these beautiful objects are produced. There’s a showroom attached for those who would like a souvenir of the visit, big or small, and all objects are guaranteed.

Day 3

Today's Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Treasure Houses, Hutong Tours in a Rickshaw
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Jing Mian Da Wang Restaurant(Di'anmen Branch)(Lunch)
Detailed Itinerary:

Tiananmen Square: The world's largest city square and enduring symbol of China's national pride, surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Mao's Mausoleum.

The Forbidden City: The Imperial Palace, home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. Great squares, halls and gates contrast with the intricate networks of side halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters for those who lived in this 'city within a city'. The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are also absolutely fascinating. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours, wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

Treasure Houses: Treasure house has undergone 4 time renovations, the present one takes up almost 220 square metres, more than 440 treasures on display belonged to Qing dynasty royalty, half of which have not never been on display in the old one. It's worthy of visiting.

Hutong Tours in a Rickshaw: A maze of historic alleyways and old single storey traditional courtyard houses, now fast disappearing. Dotted around the hutong are the Drum and Bell Towers, Tea House, and local people's houses. Your tour includes a visit with a local family.

Jing Mian Da Wang Restaurant(Di'anmen Branch): This restaurant of typical Chinese style ,it serves traditional-style food ( mainly noodle ) in a active Old Peking atmosphere. Waiters clad traditionally shout and cry around the room to announce customers arriving or leaving. Having the taste of the tasty noodles, usually eaten with a thick sesame and soy-based sauce,it is very noisy! You have some real exoerience of Old Beijing..

Day 4

Place & Transport: Beijing to Qinhuangdaog
Today's Activities: Beidaihe Scenic Area
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

Beidaihe Scenic Area: Beidaihe Scenic Area lies in the southwest part of Qinhuangdao, 15 km away from the downtown area. Beidaihe Beach Scenic Holiday Resort is a major scenic area of historic interest and scenic beauty. To the east lies Pigeon Nest Park and to the west stands the Lianfeng Mountain Park, both areas beautiful areas with tall pine trees which flourish in the area

Day 5

Place & Transport: Qinhuangdao to Beijing
Today's Activities: Old Dragon Head, Shanhai Pass
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

Old Dragon Head: Old Dragon Head is the eastern most point of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall where it meets the sea, thousands of kilometers from the Jiayuguan in the North West. The fortress built on the site during the Ming Dynasty; over 700 hundred year ago crumbled leaving only a huge rocky outcrop jutting in the bay. A replica of the original wall has been built at the site to help tourists re-live its bygone era.

Shanhai Pass: Shanhai Pass Scenic is ten kilometers east of Qinhuangdao City. The world famous Shanhai Pass guarded the narrow passage between the Northeast and the Central East region of China and as such was an extremely important strategic fortification. The city at the pass boasts many ancient historic sites and is a popular tourist spot and summer resort.

Today's Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Beijing)
Meals: Breakfast
